Rune Guneriussen

Rune Guneriussen is from Norway and went to Surrey Institute of Art & Design in England. His photographs consist of installations he sets up, primarily in nature. "This process involves the object, story, space and most important the time it is made within. It is an approach to the balance between nature and human culture, and all the sublevels of our own excistence."

I choose this artist because he caught my attention with how he choose to show the balance between humans and nature. Instead of showing human waste or humans destroying nature like a lot of others he choose to place man made objects into nature like they belong there and are a part of nature.

Tim Flach was born in London, and studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.  He has done work for National Geographic. 

His portfolio titled More then Human of caught my eye.  It is described as showing the nature and complexity of our relationship with animals.  He says, "What underlines my work in this project, are the questions about how we shape nature and how it shapes us". 
With the Dogs Gods series it is looking into the loyal companionship between human and dog. Equus looks into the spirit and physical form of horses. 

Takaki Watanabe

I could not find any info on this Artist,  he or she has no bio. I chose this artist beacuse of the peacefulness emotion that I get from their photographs. They look very real but also very surreal.  Their uses of relfections gives the photographs a very clean feeling,  showing the beauty of nature.  Also,  I love the limited amount of human esigists.  The artist only uses a few people in their works. I think their work shows how big the world is and how small we appear to the world.  I love that this work is so positive and sunny,  reminds me of happiness.

Fabian Oefner

Fabian Oefner is a Swiss artist who looks for ways to capture moments that are too fast for the human eye to see. This is how he came up with the Disintegrating series. For this series he photographs model cars to make them look like they have exploded.

I choose this artist because I love how he photographed all of the pieces of the cars so that the cars look like they are exploding.

Angela Singer

Angela Singer was born in Essex, England.  She got an MFA from University of Auckland and appears to be based in New Zealand  She is an animal rights activist who uses taxidermy art to show her concern on the relationship between humans and animals.  She decorates the bullet wounds that the taxidermist has attempted to hide.

I chose her because of the way she was pointing out the way that humans have caused animals harm in a simple distractingly beautiful way.

Angi Stiegler

Angi Stiegler is an artist from Wolfburg, Germany. She discovered her passion for photography and image creating in 2006. She is also an multimedia engineer. She is a self taught artist. Her images are a mixture of surrealism and conceptualism, her work takes on a daydream style, showing the impossible is possible. She gets her inspiration from music and other artists like Rus Anson, Tim Walker, and Annie Leibovitz.

I picked this artist because of her daydream like style and use of color.I love the uses of blue tones in her work, and also the strong uses of nature.

Fong Qi Wei - "Exploded Flowers "

Fong Qi Wei is a photographer based out of Singapore that has been working with photography for over 10 years. In all of his work he is photographing familiar subjects and themes in a new perspective to make people think.

“Through my art, I hope to introduce my point of view to my the viewer and engage them beyond aesthetics. I wish to provoke them to think further about the familiar and ordinary.”

I choose this photographer because of the way he dissects his subject and lays it out to look like it exploded outward like fireworks instead of laying the parts out like a scientist would. Also I love how he is using dissection to show something so familiar in a different way.
