A New Christopher Jordan
Christopher J Jordan is a working photographer and a
professor at the University of Alabama. His work is focused on landscape. He
approaches the landscape photography completely different then the typical ‘beautiful landscape’ photograph.
I really enjoy his project Suburban Sublime it is quit interesting. He photographs suburbia
but gives it a mysterious twist. He makes the homes seem abstract and very
creepy by photo manipulation. I absolutely enjoy this project because I want to
try a new approach this semester by shooting homes in the dark. I think that it
will add a whole new approach to my project. These suburban homes are perfectly
made neighborhoods that have no uniqueness but also have a mystery to them,
which is what makes me so interested in using homes to express people. His work
is visually interesting as well as a interesting concept.
